And that was exactly the moment Star had been waiting for since she arrived. She took the upper hand and said the words that were burning on my tongue.

"Mark me." I looked deep into his eyes and could see that his wolf had also taken control. I tilted my head to the side to make it clear to him that I wanted it.

He kissed my shoulder and stayed in the place where it would immortalize itself. "That will hurt." He said before he sank his teeth into my skin and bit down.

I cried out in pain, but not a second later a wave of excitement hit me. Hot tears streamed from my eyes, not from sadness, but from pleasure. It was like an inferno of emotions overwhelmed me and I felt them all at once. Fury. Grief. Joy. Love. Fear. Surprise. I felt them all at the same time and it didn't go unnoticed by Alec either. He lay on top of me, panting and bathed in sweat.

He looked deep into my eyes one last time. "Mine. Just mine."
