Valeria's POV

Lynn moved her finger to make it clear to Jeremy what she wanted. He reluctantly took his wallet out of his back pocket and gave her a fifty euro note. I opened my eyes and looked at both of them in shock. "So much? I thought we were talking about a few euros?"

Now Alec looked first at me and then at the other two, shocked and a little angry. "You bet?" He described the already obvious situation. But not a moment later he looked at me slightly offended. "And you knew about it?"

I looked at him encouragingly and patted his back. “I just found out about it from Lynn. Besides, I thought it was about a few euros. Not just fifty euros."

Now he looked at Jeremy and Lynn again. "I just can't believe it." He shook his head and pushed me out of the room. But Lynn and Jeremy just shrugged their shoulders before doing the same.
