"Alpha?" I heard my Gamma's voice in the mind link.

"What is it?" I asked irritably as Atlas was still busy closing my wounds.

"We've successfully pushed them back."

I growled loudly, which startled Atlas, but when he saw that I was mentally communicating with someone, he went back to his work as a doctor.

"Pushed back? What does that mean?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. What does that mean, pushed back? Had they defeated her? Or were they stronger than expected?
