Chapter 15

Sugary confections wafted into my nostrils, waking me up. "Good morning, sunshine," Myrtle whispered, kissing my face. I might get used to being greeted each morning with a passionate kisses from my partner.

"Hey, baby," I yawned sleepily as I sat up. "fuck- my back." I have trouble falling asleep on hospital couches. I'm relieved that Hade can finally go home today. Myrtle resumed her gentle pecks on my face as I set her on my lap, and I couldn't help but smile. While kissing her softly and making her laugh, I got a whiff of her perfume from behind her neck. She was ticklish there.

When I turned around, I saw an alert and amused Hade staring at us with a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes.

"Morning, baby," I replied to him.

He greeted Myrtle with, "Good morning, Myrtle," disregarding me in the process, but god, his morning voice was adorable.
