Chapter 6
Already night, Ryeon finished washing the dishes and placed them on the drainer. He looked at the clock on the wall, feeling even more anxious.
Lucy had told him she would arrive at eight, but it was already eight-ten, and she hadn't shown up. He started to worry, wondering if she would come or if something unexpected had happened.
He headed to the living room, sitting on the sofa, and looked at his phone screen. He sighed, not wanting to call her because he didn't want to appear desperate, even though his longing and anxiety were getting on his nerves and wouldn't let him rest.
He jumped with a start when he heard the doorbell ring and smiled with a slight startle. He jumped off the sofa, abandoning his phone, and walked to the door, his smile growing with each passing second. His heart melted when he saw her standing there, dressed in a short denim jumpsuit and a white long-sleeved blouse tucked in.
