Chapter 52
It was already late at night when the others left. Ryeon remained there, refusing to go.
"I'll be fine, Ryeon," Lucy said, climbing the stairs. But she knew it was pointless because Ryeon had already locked the door and turned off the lights to follow her upstairs. "Doesn't your back hurt from sleeping in such a tight space?"
"I don't mind, beautiful," he replied, entering the room and closing the door.
Lucy sat on the edge of the bed and looked at him.
"But you work early, and you work on your feet. I feel guilty for leaving you exhausted like this..."
"Don't feel guilty because I'm not. It's okay," he said, stopping in front of her. He leaned in to kiss her, tasting the sweetness of those lips. "But I have an idea for today."
Lucy pulled away from him and saw him smile as he walked to her wardrobe and rummaged through it.
