Chapter 57
Lucy remained quiet inside that car. She held her backpack that she quickly grabbed from home and listened to her mother-in-law singing softly, still by the radio.
"You're feeling sad, aren't you?" Roseanne looked at her, lowering the radio. Lucy didn't need to answer; her pout and lowered eyes spoke for themselves. "Everything will be fine, my angel." She touched her hand.
"I didn't want to leave like this..."
"I know, dear." Rosé caressed her hand once again before letting go to change gears. "But your father assured me that he would keep you informed, didn't he?"
"Yes, but... he'll be alone now."
"Don't worry, I'll try to help him too. Ryeon has offered to help with whatever is needed, even with household chores."
Lucy shook her head. It was good to know that her father wouldn't be alone. But still, she wanted to help, to take care
