“But I would have preferred to be lost than to have to sell a kidney to pay for this damn taxi ride!”
Ryeon was furious. He couldn't understand how his online map had shown that they would reach the market in twenty minutes, yet the driver had taken almost an hour. The final fare was a shock, and Ryeon wanted to curse the driver for clearly taking advantage of them being foreigners and not knowing much, taking them to the correct destination but through the longest route.
"Now it's done, Ryeon. At least we're at the market," Lucy said.
"I'm sorry for spending more than necessary, babe. I really thought this would be better..."
"It's okay." Lucy hugged him and kissed his cheek. "We can walk to Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple and then to Sumida River. It's so beautiful there when the sun is setting, and Kachidoki Bridge lights up."
Ryeon smiled, recalling some pictures he had seen of the place
