Chapter 67

Back in Busan, Ryeon found it strange how calm his wife was in the car. YooRi was dozing off, as she often did in the car, but not having Lucy talking a mile a minute, especially after their first solo trip together with their daughter, left him concerned.

They arrived home quickly. Ryeon had YooRi brush her teeth and change into her pajamas before lying down in bed and falling asleep, and he fetched HaeRi from his in-laws' house, who was also already asleep and ready to be put in the crib.

He found his wife in the living room, alone, hugging one of her legs, lost in thought. He sat down beside Lucy, and when he finally looked at her, he saw tears staining her face.

"Hey..." Ryeon hurried to wipe one of her cheeks, but Lucy started crying even more. He pulled her into his lap, feeling her wrap her arms around him and huddle like a koala. "What happened, love?"

Lucy sniffled, tried to breathe, and looked at him, smiling through her tea
