Chapter 28. The Infamous Prophecy
After what felt like an eternity, but was only twenty minutes since Jasmine had temporarily fainted, she opened her eyes and looked around with an expression laced with confusion.
Watching the girl squint her eyes, Azrael waited for her to say something that would confirm whether she was Victoria or Jasmine.
“What am I doing here? Wasn't I walking toward the mansion when I found out the truth—that Daniel is my brother and that—” Jasmine stopped abruptly when her head started to throb with pain.
“So, you finally know the truth about who you are? It was about time anyway. I was afraid you wouldn't take it well, but it’s good that you handled it more calmly than I had guessed. You are much more resilient than I gave you credit for,” Azrael said with a blank face, causing Jasmine to look up at her with a furrowed brow.
