Chapter 42. I Involuntarily Used My Powers

Victoria’s POV

“Ouch!! I am sorry, okay?” Alexander muttered, massaging his jaw to ease the pain my punch had caused. “For a girl who looks so delicate, your punches are incredibly powerful,” he added when I didn’t say anything.

Meanwhile, what was I doing? I was trying to untangle the messy thoughts spinning out of control in my head.

“Look, I know I shouldn’t have kissed you so suddenly before saying anything, and—” Alexander started, but I cut him off mid-sentence as my temper flared.

I knew I needed to vent this anger before my powers decided it was the perfect time to make my life even more chaotic by exposing my secrets in front of my crush—especially right after he just kissed me.

“How dare you!” I snapped, stepping into Alexander’s space and jabbing my finger into his chest.
