Chapter 61. Time to Get Down with Alexander

Victoria’s POV

“Hey, Vic. Can I have a moment with you?” I heard Alexander’s deep voice call out from behind me as I was walking down the busy corridor toward my absolute least-favorite chemistry class.

“We’re headed to the same lecture hall, aren't we? Let’s just walk together,” I replied smoothly, before we fell into step alongside each other.

“So, umm… look, about yesterday… I really wanted to—”

“Just get straight to the point, will you?” I sighed, unable to completely hide my annoyance when I noticed his gaze momentarily drifting over to Laila, who was standing with a group of friends not too far from us.

“I am incredibly sorry about what happened out on the training field yesterday,” he stated, his dark eyes now locking firmly onto mine.

“Well, se
