Another busy and tiring day has ended. Hadley closed her eyes and took a deep breath right after she went out of their building office. She looked around to check if Benedict was there to pick her up, but she suddenly remembered that she had a car with her. She got her driver’s license again after being confiscated, but Benedict still made a way to get it at the Land Transportation Office. She thought that maybe he was tired of fetching her every day.

As she walked toward the parking lot, one hand grabbed her shoulder. She felt exhausted because many clients consulted their office. She quietly opened her car door, sat in front of the steering wheel, and checked herself in the mirror to see if she looked so stressed again. She was about to lock the doors when suddenly, someone opened them again. Hadley’s eyes widened when she saw who got inside her car.

“Je…Jethro?” she said, confusedly staring at him.

Hadley could not move, and her heart started throbbing like it n
