I sobbed, shaking my head as I wiped the drool that had slid down from my nose off my face with the back of my palms.

“But I have promised him that I won’t leave,”

I sniffed, more tears rolling down as I stared confusedly at the closed door.

I could hear Queen Rebecca and Elara’s laugh. This felt like a dream… he’s awake yet I can’t get close to him.

Hearing their voices that were coming out in a muffled sound from where I was standing. I smiled sadly and turned, heading to the pillar on the other side of the hallway.

“I will have to wait for Doctor Harrison Flynn to come out. I need to know what’s going on,”

I sat down there with my head lowered in thought. There were footsteps striding toward my direction but I didn’t even lift my head to see who it was. No single strength was left within me.
