Nina POV

My gaze widened in horror. So he still hasn’t remembered me.

“Ryder,” I whispered, my voice cracking. “I know you remembered me, right?”

I said and his eyes narrowed immediately. “I asked you a simple question, who are you?”

My lips parted in shock and in utter dismay. He wasn’t playing around, he sure didn’t remember. I know he lost his memories but telling him to ask me who I was hurts so badly.

It hurts!

I could feel it from our bond. He is confused and completely lost.

“Mate,” Leah whimpered.

And my heart aches so bad. “Can you connect with his beast?” She shook her head. “It feels out of reach,” she replied with a sniff.

“How can you not remember after all the time we have spent?” I demanded, my trembling voice rising more than I expected. “It’s me, Nina... We are mates,” I uttered desperately and he scoffed, stepping away immediately as if my words stung him.
