Chapter 78
Cassa blinked her eyes slowly, observing the room she had been staying in for approximately two weeks. It was hard to believe because she had tried to escape from the castle, but it seemed like she kept returning again and again. Of course, this made her feel incredibly frustrated.
“Honey, are you awake?” Alano asked as he entered Cassa’s room, carrying food for her nutritional intake. If Cassa hadn’t woken up yet, he planned to give her a blood infusion to stimulate her awakening.
Cassa didn’t answer her husband’s question, her eyes closing again due to the throbbing headache. She couldn’t even remember what had happened last or how she ended up here again. Cassa’s face lacked its former glow, appearing pale like an ordinary vampire.
Seeing Cassa slowly recovering gave Alano some relief, knowing that at least she was alive again, even though she wasn’t as radiant as before. Alano tried to get used to the fact that Cassa was now so pale and unpleasant.
