Chapter 13
“You’re something else, aren’t you? You’ve been like this since last night. If you’re feeling something, you should say it.” Lance shook his head and clicked his tongue.
“I’m really fine, just sleepy…” I stood up to get out of the van, pretending not to worry. I smiled, trying to appear lively and swift in my movements. I would deal with Lianna and her disturbance in my dreams later.
Since they had already unloaded the bags from the van, Raven bid us farewell.
“Aren’t you going to have a snack? I even bought palabok,” Mama pointed to the palabok placed on our terrace table.
Raven shook his head. “I have to run an errand. Thanks for the offer, though.”
“What a shame,” Mama frowned.
“Hey, thanks a lot, Raven.” I tapped his arm before he got into the shotgun seat.
“No worries, Leslie.” He smiled and then nodded to Lance, Mama, and Jessie as a goodbye.
“Take care, bro.” Lance nodded back at him while Jessie and Mama just waved.
