Chapter 19
“Dear? Do you have someone you’re talking to?” Mama knocked on the door again gently and then opened it.
I quickly put my phone to my ear, pretending I had a call. It wouldn’t be good if they thought I was losing my sanity and talking to myself.
“Yes,” I pointed to my phone, signaling that I was on a call. Mama understood and didn’t say anything. She just came in to collect my dirty clothes for the laundry shop later.
When it was 8 o’clock, I had breakfast with Mama and Lance. Lance was the one who cooked again, but he didn’t boast about it this time.
It was just scrambled eggs and fried rice. It seemed like Lianna followed my condition for her because she didn’t show up again after our conversation earlier.
