Chapter 61

It was the second night in a row that I hadn’t slept. Earlier, I had a terrible headache, but I took some medicine, and now it was gone. However, I struggled to stay awake. Even though I hadn’t had any coffee, I used it as a substitute for water. I took two showers already to keep myself occupied.

It was already one in the afternoon, and it seemed like there was a storm going on. I wasn’t entirely sure since I didn’t watch the news or scroll through the news section on social media, but it looked like it.

I went alone to La Zerendad Memorial Homes. I didn’t invite Jessie this time because I felt that Raven wanted to talk to Eunice, so I asked her to go to Polo first, and I would follow. She agreed, but she was worried, so she called me every two minutes.

When I reached Eunice’s section, I sent a text to Jessie.

To: Jessie bestie

I’m here. Don’t call me for now; I’ll call Raven. Thanks!

She replied right away.
