Chapter 60
“Damn it, where the hell did that bitch hide her body?!” Jessie angrily shouted as she dug in front of me, wiping the sweat from her forehead with a towel.
We had been in our backyard since the early hours, digging in the hopes that Lianna’s body might be buried here. It was already seven in the morning, and the sun was scorching hot, making us sweat profusely.
My older brother was still asleep, so we had time to return the soil to its original state.
I had already told Jessie what Lianna had told me last night, and, of course, she was furious. It had been more than a night since I last slept because I was doing everything I could to avoid it.
“Maybe it’s not here after all?” Jessie paused momentarily from digging and sighed.
