Chapter 12

Sandy’s POV

We were startled by Max’s sudden appearance. I, Luna, Dylan, and Maria, I suddenly caught a familiar fear. The fear I have always had as a child. The fear I have for Chloe, my stepmother. The same fear I have for my stepsister, Judy. This Same fear I’m having now. And it appears none of my friends are experiencing it.

It was Max, the werewolf who had betrayed us by joining the Silver Fang pack in my dream. I froze in my tracks, my heart racing as Luna asked Max what he was doing there.

The memories of the dream came flooding back.

“I should be asking that question,” Max replied with a smirk, snapping his fingers to summon five werewolves to his side. “Leave the little girl to me,” he ordered, and the four werewolves charged at us.

Luna transformed into her wolf form and faced off against one of the werewolves, while Dylan charged at two at a time, his powerful jaws clamping down on their necks. Maria, in her wolf form, joined in the f
