Chapter 44

Anderson’s POV

I walked into the alpha’s office with a heavy heart. The news I had to deliver was not good. Anderson was right behind me, looking just as downcast.

“Alpha, we have bad news,” I began. “The Night Hound pack has refused to help us.”

Alpha Tommy’s face fell. “What? Why?”

“They said they don’t want to involve themselves in our conflict with the Dark pack,” I explained. “They want to stay out of it and focus on their own territory.”

Tommy let out a frustrated growl. “This is not good. We need all the help we can get.”

Judy spoke up. “I have an idea, Alpha. What if we try to convince them again? Maybe if we explain our situation in more detail, they might change their minds.”

Tommy nodded. “That’s a good idea. Let’s do that. He sent Don, one of his betas to accompany me this time “Don, Anderson, you both will go to the Night Hound pack and try to convince them to help us. Take a few others with you for backup.”
