Chapter 24. Elsie's Secret

Theo's POV

Kai had eventually left me in peace, he seemed quick to leave my study. Which was welcome in my eyes, I just felt like I needed to be alone at the moment. I restarted my game, bashing the buttons as I tried to defeat this enemy once more. Dodging its laser blasts and flipping in every direction began to feel monotonous now, but I was determined.

I sighed deeply as my mind wandered to Elsie, and how she had acted on our stroll in the park. I couldn't help but wonder if it was me, was she that uncomfortable around me I gave her panic attacks? I know I had been hard on her at first, but I can't say I was over harsh. 

After all, she was the nanny of my child and I needed to be sure Gracie was safe in Elsie's hands, after all of her mistakes.

Blinking quickly, I found I couldn't focus on the game any longer, so I gave up and switched the console off. Sitting back on the sofa, I thought about Elsie some more and tried to pinpoint
