"She's not in her room, or Gracie's," Oris said as he rushed back down to the dining room "I checked all the rooms upstairs, even ours," It wasn't often I saw Oris in this state, whenever he was upset he remained calm and silent. But his usual internal stress was showing now "Has anyone tried calling her phone?"

My eyes shifted to the doorway as Kai hurried in after Oris "Elsie isn't in the garden I can't even catch her fresh scent, I don't think she's been here for a while. I tried calling her phone, but I think it's switched off,"

"Well, that answers that question," Oris said, appearing to have calmed down slightly.

"Shit," I grunted "Elsie is being a hero again isn't she. I had hoped she would have listened to me this time. The girl is far too stubborn,"
