Chapter 102. Children

Gladys sat alone in her room, staring at the pregnancy test in her hand. She knew she needed to talk to Caden, but she wasn't sure how he would react.

She took a deep breath and reminded herself that whatever happened, it was better to face it head-on than to sit and worry.

She reached for her phone and hesitated for a moment, before finally tapping Caden's name in her contacts. As she waited for him to answer, her heart pounded in her chest.

"Sexy." His charming calm voice could be heard from the phone and that even softened her worries.

"Man." She replied with a small smile.

"How are you? I'm sorry I didn't call yesterday. How's the test results?" Caden asks again.

"It's... I'm fine." Gladys replied not ready to tell him about pregnancy. "How was the launching? I watched it and I must say, the company is doing better than when I left." She conversed and she heard him chuckle a little.
