It was Thursday morning when Gladys walked out of the passageway to pick up her cellphone which was ringing in the living room, carrying Elijah.

As she picked up the phone from the couch, she breathed out a sigh of relief. "It's your dad calling." She said to Eli who paid attention as she clicked on the answer button from the cellphone touchscreen.

"I've been ringing since yesterday, are you that busy?" She asked.

"I'm very sorry, sexy. An incident happened and I don't wanna bother you about it. That's why." Caden says from the phone.

"What incident?" Gladys asked knowing Elijah was still staring at her, as though he wanted to speak with his dad too.

"Just business related. But you don't have to worry about it, and I won't be coming this weekend." He spoke calmly from the phone.

"Okay..." Gladys said slowly, still trying to make sense of Caden's decision. "How long will you be back?" She asked.
