The man’s transformation was almost unbelievable.

He was now dressed in a fitted gray shirt and black coat, paired with a simple yet sturdy pair of jeans and boots, the man before her looked nothing like the ragged beggar she had found sitting in that wheelchair.

The way the black overcoat settled over his frame only emphasized his strong presence, making him appear even more imposing than before. And she had insisted on it.

Grace took a step back, crossing her arms as she eyed him from head to toe. She tilted her head slightly and hummed.

“Not bad,” she mused, circling him like she was inspecting a prized possession. “You almost look like a person now.”

The man shifted slightly under her scrutiny, tugging at the hem of the coat as if unsure what to do with it.

“Is this really necessary?” he asked, glancing down at himself awkwardly.
