Chapter 75

EVOLET

It was nine thirty in the morning. My eyes felt a bit heavy from my second nap. It made me uncomfortable, forcing me to stay awake until the sun was out.

I had another dream about the late Luna and Queen Chriselda. They were sitting in the mansion’s living room. It decor looked different and better than the way it is currently.

They were talking about something inaudibly, making gestures with their hands and laughing. When Luna Violet got to her feet, I met her gazing straight at me letting out a smile.

She beckoned me over to her side, saying, “It’s okay. Come sit with us.” She stretched out her hand to me.

I decided to listen and walked up to her, reaching out to take hold of her hand. As soon as the tip of my fingers touched hers, the whole room disappeared. I found myself in that same horrible storm, hearing both Cadell and Luna Violet calling out to each other.
