Chapter 39. Grandpa’s Birthday

Kendra’s POV

I set the alarm for six in the morning so I will be the one to greet Grandpa Jake. I am super excited because today is the big day. It’s finally Grandpa’s 80th birthday celebration.

I even stretched my arms and legs without opening my eyes. But when I rolled to my side and touched Johann’s side, he was already gone.

“He’s gone?” I panicked.

So I hurriedly got up and when I looked out the window, I saw a man standing handsomely, looking dashing in his navy blue suit.

I rubbed my eyes to confirm whether I was already awake or still dreaming.

And when I saw his frowning face, it was now confirmed that he is indeed my husband, Johann Petersen.

“You look great today,” I greeted him.

“I always do. And how about you? It’s still too early, why don’t you sleep more?”
