Kendra’s POV

My husband and I exchanged messages in chat so as to not raise suspicion from Grandpa Jake who was happily eating with us.

I still couldn’t believe that he didn’t bring Sandra here. Was I overthinking? Was it because of pregnancy that’s why I became super sensitive? Or was it because of that embarrassing moment?

I cringed remembering that part. And another chime from my phone sounded. I read my husband’s message,

“Will you just eat like a normal person?”

I ignored the last part and gave him a scolding which he laughed off.

Grandpa was so happy seeing the Petersens and even the far relatives celebrating with him.

The banquet was as happy and peaceful as it was until a certain someone interrupted and began to ruin everything.

And the bad thing was, the sophisticated middle-aged woman addressed my husband directly.
