Chapter 49. Our Last Night

Kendra’s POV

As soon as the fireworks finished, Grandpa Jake immediately rested in his bedroom. I tucked him into bed and said goodnight.

I held my pee for hours because of the tension happening earlier. Now that I am free to go, I can finally relieve myself.

I went straight to my room and found it even more comfortable as I removed all my clothes. A formal dress like this really exhausts me. Now that it’s gone, my body feels lighter.

After relieving my stress, I decided to soak myself in a tub filled with hot water.

“Oh, this is exactly what I need.”

I rested my neck at the edge of the bathtub. It feels like the hot water relaxes my restrained muscles, especially my calves, and ankles.
