I went to Julia's house with a heavy heart; the ever-so-strong Julia had tears in her eyes as I bid her farewell.
How could I dare to leave without saying goodbye to one of the important people in my life? It hurts me to leave, but I have to do this, not just for my broken heart but also to be with my family.
I nodded my head when I looked in uncle Gerry's direction, and I could tell that he was also feeling melancholy since he already considered me her daughter.
I returned my gaze to Julia when I heard her speak.
"You're not allowed to have any other best friend in the UK; I want to be your only best friend, do you understand?" She demanded stubbornly, which somehow made me smile a little.
"Without a doubt! No one could ever replace Julia Montero as my best friend, and I doubt I'd ever find someone like you, not in the UK, not in the Philippines, and not anywhere else in the world," I said.
