I was still sleepy when I got out of bed, and I wanted to make breakfast for my man, but when I looked at his side of the bed, I was puzzled when I realized he wasn't there anymore.

"Where has he gone?" I wondered aloud.

I went into the bathroom to see whether he was just relieving himself, but I didn't find him when I opened the door and peeked inside.

The next place I looked was the kitchen, but I didn't see him there either, so I went back to our room, and that's when I spotted a sticky note on the side table.

I picked it up and immediately recognized Xavier's handwriting.

"Yesha, I'm sorry if I have to leave early. I have a client I need to see today; eat your breakfast and don't wait for me."

Those were the words scribbled on the sticky note, and I couldn't help but feel sad when he seemed to have forgotten what day it was.
