I got out of the car as soon as it had parked in front of the home. Vincent left the main route after making another loop around the mansion and continued on his way.

A huge palace-like house in the middle of Kipfolk Avenue. Even my father, who was rich beyond measure, could not afford such ostentation.

I called Mara, wasting no more time.

Seven levels, including a large patio and balconies on each floor. Massive columns that appeared to support the majestic arches, floors built of cream marble. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms—each with its own bathroom—was undoubtedly large. I didn’t even count them. The living room was enormous and had wide windows covered in silk drapes. A dining area with all the facilities and a kitchen to match.

“Wow, girl, it’s like you’re telling me about the palace in the fairy stories my mother used to tell me when I was a kid.” Mara remarked.
