Simple to say, challenging to put into practice. I was not very good at either, but words were words and deeds were deeds. Since he kept himself so completely closed, there wasn’t really much I could do to express my feelings to him.
I stood up and paced after staring at my work in the center of my floor for a moment.
Before I realized the paparazzi might still be there, taking pictures of me in my home, I walked past the windows a few times. After pausing, I turned to face the street below.
He was still standing there, keeping an eye on the door, waiting for me to exit. Jesus, didn’t these men have anything else to do? What would they do if I began searching through the trash for...stuff?
My face slowly smiled cruelly, which was completely incompatible with the pain I was feeling inside.
