I needed to contact Mara. Much to Mrs. Hans’s annoyance, I used her phone. In order to do that, I had to go into her house.

I tried not to look at her wide variety of old dolls when she spoke to me.

“Don’t look at me like that!” she shouted as she was guiding me to the phone.

However, I called Mara instead of continuing to push on a topic I didn’t comprehend. Mara responded to me immediately.

“Mara, we need to talk. Do you believe we can see each other? Maybe you can come to my place”

“Me, in that apartment? It’s become a dump since you left, sweetie. Why don’t we get a cup of coffee somewhere else?” She passionately questioned me.
