The Hall of Arts Gallery is arguably London’s biggest and most significant gallery. Many aspiring amateur painters began their careers here.

I had a lump in my throat that was difficult to swallow, and a friend almost pushed me from behind to stop thinking and get in.

“Come on, what are you waiting for? You know, fame doesn’t wait for you”

“When Mr. Smith called me to say he wanted my paintings in his gallery, I was the happiest artist. What if he doesn’t remember me now? He has never seen my face,” I asked in dismay.

“But he knows your work, so he doesn’t need to know what you look like, right? Now, suck it all in and go inside. I shall wait for you here”

I felt abandoned suddenly.
