Chapter 30. Rescue

Cristine’s POV

I rolled to the other side of the bed and tried to close my eyes, but I couldn’t.

It’s been two weeks since Yuri confessed to me. And those two weeks made me look like a walking dead. I've earned eye bags since that night and am still earning.

After that conversation, we didn’t talk again. I visit my father every day at the hospital, but I can’t see Yuri anywhere. One of the nurses said that Yuri was always on duty, but why can't I see him or even feel his presence at the hospital?

I began to think that maybe he was avoiding me.

“Aish! Why do I need to experience this?” I asked myself as I pressed my face on the pillow.

It was like my brain was cut in half. One side was thinking of Yuri, and the other side was thinking of Aron. As I lay on the bed correctly, I stared at the ceiling.
