Cristine's POV
I watched how they hugged each other. I don't want to believe what I am seeing right now.
"Oh, God, Mikaella! We're searching for you everywhere!" Aron said as he caressed Ella's back.
"I'm fine, daddy. Mom takes care of me well."
I saw how Aron's eyebrows furrowed.
"Mom? You mean your mommy Jannah?" he asked, puzzled.
"Oh, I mean Mom Cristine." She pointed to me with her index finger.
I'm still here, standing, and I couldn't move. Aron and I looked at each other. I don't know what he was thinking right now.
"You know my daughter?" he asked.
And that explains everything. I already had a hint about it, but I chose not to believe my instinct. But why? Of all the people, why him? That's the question I always asked the world.
