Chapter 66. Dillema
Cristine's POV
I opened my eyes slowly, and my forehead wrinkled when a pain struck my head, so I shut my eyes again. After a while, I opened it again, and I saw a small, empty room.
When I tried to move my hands, I felt a cold metal on them, and I realized that I was handcuffed.
I get up from lying on the dirty pavement. The room has no light bulb, and the only source of light was the small window behind me.
I can't remember what happened or where I was. The last thing that I can recall was that I attended a program at Mendelive Academy; that's all. Did someone kidnap me?
I heard something outside the door in front of me that seemed like someone was opening a padlock. The sound of chains can also be heard until the door gradually opens. A black pair of shoes was the first thing that I saw, and a man came in.
My lips parted to see who it was.
"I'm glad you're awake," he said, grinning at me before he closed the door.
