Carla's POV 

Our initial motives may have been deceptive, but as we continue to grow closer, we find ourselves questioning whether there could be something more between us.

Late one evening, as we sit by the fireplace in Carter's study, a comfortable silence fills the room. We spent the day together, exploring a nearby park and sharing laughs over a picnic. The warmth from the fire casts a soft glow on his face as I look at him, a smile pulls up on my face. “Gosh, Carter is so handsome.” 

I feel so much joy having him in my life. 

"Carla, there's something I need to tell you. This contract, this fake relationship we're living... it's become more than just a means to please my mother. I never expected to feel this way, but I can't deny the growing connection between us." Carter breaks the silence, his voice barely above a whisper. 

My heart skips a beat as his words sink in. Could it be that Carter feels the same way
