Carla's POV 

Finally, the door creaks open, and a stern-looking detective enters the room. He introduces himself as Detective Collins, and his gaze is hard and penetrating. I swallow nervously, realizing that I'm about to face a barrage of questions.

"Carla," he begins, his voice void of any sympathy, "we need to get to the bottom of what happened tonight. Tell me exactly what occurred before Julie fell ill."

I take a deep breath, gathering my thoughts. I recount the events leading up to Julie's sudden illness, emphasizing my confusion and shock at her accusations. Detective Collins listens intently, his expression inscrutable.

"Did you notice anything unusual about Julie's behavior prior to tonight?" he probes, his eyes searching mine.

I hesitate, unsure of what to say. Julie had been acting strangely lately, but would it be fair to bring up her jealousy? I decided to be honest, hoping it will help shed light on the situation.
