Chapter 14. Speak the Truth Now or Never

I always felt safe around my family—my dad and my aunt but right now, I just wanted to be alone. What if Mr. Collin decides to tell my dad about Mr. Scott and me?
“Eliana dear, I brought you some yogurt. Can I come in?” That was my aunt. It was barely ten minutes since I told her I didn’t want to speak to anyone.
“Aunt—”
“I know what you’re about to say, Eliana. I promise, I won’t try to start a conversation. I just want to give you this and at least see how you’re doing.”
“Fine.” I said. I got off the bed sluggishly. “Come in.” I said, exhaling. There was no need to punish them for something that wasn’t their fault. I started all of this. How long did I think I could hide from all of this? Forever?
“Seriously? You’re letting me inside—” I cut her off with my raised brow and folded arms. She knew exactly what the look was for. Hadn’t she promised not to ask questions?
“I’m sorry… Here you go.” She said in a small voice and hand
