Chapter 23
After a good amount of rest, Layla came to see her baby in the hospital nursery. Justin followed her while Miss Lively left to get food for everyone.
They cared for the baby from within the nursery. Samuel still had to be observed for some time, but he was responding well generally.
Layla held him in her arms with the aid of a midwife.
“The baby really looks like his mother. He is so handsome,” Justin said.
Layla could not hold back the tears. She kept weeping. “I feel like the luckiest woman in the world right now,” said Layla as she looked at her baby in her arms.
“Miss Lively and I will support you with taking care of Samuel. Just promise me that you’ll make a name for yourself and get justice for the crimes committed by those people. I don’t care if they are my family. What is wrong is wrong,” Justin whispered.
