Chapter 72. Difference

Milan’s POV

I was shocked by how Alpha Jake screamed finally. I had to ask why he said that.

“Why did you say that?” I asked with a look of curiosity in my eyes.

Alpha Jake looked at me, and for a moment, he seemed to hesitate. But then he took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes.

“I’ve been wanting to ask you on a date for a while now,” he admitted. “But I was afraid that you would say no, or that I would be overstepping my bounds as your Alpha. But I couldn’t keep it in anymore. I had to let you know how I felt.”

I was speechless. I had no idea that Alpha Jake had been thinking about this for so long.

I couldn’t help but smile at what he said. “Well... You know we had agreed before to hang out but I guess the whole issue that came up made you forget and then maybe when you told me about the whole curse thing, you felt I might not want to talk to you or be with you. Isn’t that right?”
