Chapter 87. The Interrogation
LILY’S POV
My eyes widened in horrific shock as I stared at Cassandra, a cold shiver of fear running down my spine. With her sickening laughter and the blood trickling down her nose and into her mouth, colouring her teeth, she was like a demonic spirit that fed on chaos and misery.
If she had my kids locked away in a basement that meant they were alone, scared and hungry in the dark with no one watching over them. I have wasted too much time already. They’ll feel that all hope is lost. That I won’t be coming for them. I can’t imagine the look on their faces now, especially with how she had threatened them. They’re just kids and kids don’t respond well to cold threats from adults.
