Chapter 104. Reminds Me of Home

Jake kept staring at me, I could see tears from his piercing blue eyes, and that’s really looking so emotional.

“Claire, I am never made for you for anything you’ve been done to me.” he said, pulling me closer to him.

He looked into my eyes, “I’m not going to hurt you, promise.” he whispered in my ear as he kissed the corner of my mouth. Then he pulled me back to look straight in my eyes.

“You’re my soulmate, I have to make sure you know how much I love you, please don’t leave me.” his voice broke, he wiped the stray tear off my cheek with his thumb. He gently cupped my face in his hands and kissed me softly on my forehead, before pulling away.

“Please don’t ever do that again.” he whispered to me, his breath fanning across my skin. He took me by the hand and led me out of the house, down the street and towards the woods.
