Chapter 118. It’s Not Your Fault
That’s why I was scared that someone might find out about us. If somebody figured it out, then they would probably start telling me that I’m cheating on Ethan and that I’m wasting our time.
And that’s precisely what I don’t want to happen. I don’t want anyone saying such awful things about Ethan. Especially not the person who loves me the most in the world.
Ethan must have noticed how quiet I’ve become because he lifted his arm out of the seat and lightly draped it over my shoulder. I instinctively moved closer to him so that my head was resting comfortably on his chest. His fingers gently rubbed circles on my arm, trying to calm me down. He didn’t ask what’s wrong; he knew that I wasn’t comfortable telling him what was bothering me so much.
The only thing that I wanted was for him to understand what I needed and support me. I don’t need to burden him with whatever problem I experience. He deserves to take care of himself without worrying about me.
