Chapter 122. To Be My Mate
I kissed him again, this time deeper and more passionate than before. He responded with the same enthusiasm, placing his hands on my hips and lifting me up slightly, so he could deepen the kiss.
When we parted, I smiled brightly at him and said, “Now, you’d better get going, or you’ll miss your flight.”
He smirked and replied, “I don’t fly anymore. I quit.” He kissed me one final time and stood up. “See you soon, Claire. Love you.” With that, he waved goodbye and walked out of the restaurant and out of sight.
The sun shone brightly above me as I lay on top of Ethan, who was cuddling me in his bed. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by warmth. He started running his fingers through my hair, massaging my scalp soothingly.
