Chapter 18. The Forbidden

"Okay, I appreciate your kind comments, but aren't you going to let me know?" 

"Do you still remember the reason I married you?"

"Yep. To be your companion and stripper, and from what I gather, emotional stuff is not included. Simply put, our agreement does not include falling in love or developing an emotional attachment." 

"Precisely. Your wording is appropriate." He nodded as he spoke. "I merely came here to look for my lost wife," the speaker said. 

Izabella focused on the man's assertion. She also didn't get why, after his confession, something suddenly dropped on her shoulders.

"You... you've already married someone here?" She inquired with skepticism.

"Yes, I was married before I met you, but not here. She is a member of my type. She was sent here to be saved because we were being attacked."
